Hello everyone! Today we'll be talking about all the best comps Rebels, how to play them Rebels, and what items work with them the fact that every item is good with Rebels.
Rebels
Rebels is, by far, the most oppressive composition in the history of TFT. Out of 100 top-10 Challenger games, 55 of them were won, as in first place, with a Rebels comp. To put that in perspective, the other highest winrate comps since I started looking at winrates in 9.23 are 9.23 Ocean Mage with 34 wins, 10.4 Shadow Yi with 30 wins, 9.24 Blender with 25 wins, and 10.5 Electrics, also with with 25 wins.
Despite most people complaining about it, there is some nuance to it.
First, Ziggs. This comp actually requires six Ziggs's, not three. The reason for that is he'll be your primary carry until either Kayle or Jinx comes online, then he'll eventually be swapped for Aurelion Sol and put back without items. His ult only requires 40 mana for some reason, so going Seraph's and another AP item is destructive.
In the mid game, you'll have a decision to make. Should you wait for an Auerelion Sol to swap the items to, or should you put most of them on Kayle? If the pressure's too much, Kayle is still an excellent user of Morello and most other AP items. However, A Sol is still better.
The tank items also have some decisions behind them. You can use them immediately on Malphite, or you can save them to make Disarm and Red Buff on Xayah or Lucian and then transition them to Jinx.
Sparring Gloves are also premium as pretty much any champion can use them. You should probably save them for Thief's Gloves, but if you need to make a Trap Claw, IE or Quicksilver, that shouldn't be a problem.
Finally, the question on everyone's mind: where the hell is Gangplank? Let me tell you, this comp is so good, it doesn't even need the best champion in the game. However, if you do manage to level-two him and don't have either a Rebel Spat or level nine, you can either temporarily replace Miss Fortune or, if she's level two, Malphite. That's right, you can break six Rebels and still have the best comp in the lobby.
Enjoy forcing this comp.
Protector Mystic
I don't know much about this comp and most of my knowledge comes from a Keane video I saw. I played a variant of this once and got eighth, so take what I say with a grain of salt, but preferably go elsewhere if you want to specifically learn this comp.
One of the main reasons this comp has the second-highest winrate is because it's the hardest counter to Rebels. However, it has less than three times Rebels's winrate at 16 wins.
With all that said, let me give you some tips.
First, this is a hyper-roll composition. You want to roll at level five when you have a 40-percent chance to get a two-cost, and when you get a level three Xin, who's the main carry, either get a two-cost to level three, or go six. At six, you still need at least one more level-three unit.
After that, just try leveling and throw in Mystics as they come.
Also note this comp is insane with Spats. The most important one is Protector Spat as you put it on Sona and take out Neeko. You can also put in Dark Star or Celestial Spats.
Finally, the best items are Bramble Vest, Titan's Resolve and Dragon's Claw on Xin. However, Quicksilver is a fine replacement for Dragon's Claw.
Other than that, put Morello and either Solaris or Zeke's Heralds on Rakan, and any spare AD items you have can go on J4.
Also, put Xin opposite the side of aggression, meaning whatever side players are stacking, put Xin on the opposite side of the map.
The Other Comps Cybernetics
This is another comp where I don't really know what I'm doing.
These items are pretty good, but I don't know how optimal they are. For example, I know IE is great on Irelia, but I think Deathblade may be better.
Also, this is another comp that abuses Kayle, MF, but just putting a Morello on Kayle is really strong as she's probably the best standalone four cost.
Other than that, Luden's Lucian will carry you in the early game, and a random Chain Vest on Leona and a Giant's Belt on Vi should prove very useful.
Now, why is there a Last Whisper on Ekko?
Well, Ekko ults really late in the fight, so I feel reducing the remaining champions' armor by 90 percent is probably the best late-fight effect. The one time I did it, it felt great, but again, probably not optimal.
Finally, position Lucian behind and to the right of Kayle to bait both Infiltrators and Blitz, and position MF to the left to also bait. If MF is level two, you'd rather have Lucian pulled than MF.
Darkstar Jhin
Wow, a comp I'm actually familiar with!
The name of the game is stalling For Jhin and Shaco to dish out damage and for Darkstar buffs to transfer to Shaco and Jhin.
So, you've got your Shaco and you've got your Jhin. They both do insane damage, so they both heal to full, especially when their abilities go off because they proc Celestial.
You've got Jhin protected by Karma and Shaco with GA and his ult.
I'm convinced that the three best items on Jhin are Last Whisper, IE and BT, but I'm unsure what the best items are on Shaco. I've seen most people use GA, so that's probably core, and his utlimate makes him crit, so IE is probably good. And with tons of attack damage, BT is probably the best third item.
Other than that, throw in a Redemption for extra stall and you're good to go.
Mech Infiltrator
Pierce the heavens lads! This is the funnest comp of the patch, though I still have more fun with Jhin.
Put Morello and GA on Rumble, AD items on Shaco, and either a Luden's or a Seraph's on Ziggs to carry you in the early game.
You can put any tank item on Rumble as a third item, but Zephyr destroys the comp, so Quicksilver is probably best.
Be sure to get at least one level-three unit and try to swap Ziggs for a level-two GP.
