TL:DR
- Candyland is significantly hurt.
- Rebels is lit.
- Mana Printer is hurt but probably still one of the best comps.
- The Mech has about 25 to 30 percent less AD at level seven plus. I have no public-facing opinion.
- Graves still hasn't been nerfed.
Game Changing
- A new Galaxy called Galactic Armory has released giving all players the same two full items. This means all players could start with two Solaris for example.
- Poppy's ultimate outputs 14.3 and 20 percent less damage and shielding at levels two and three. Splashing Poppy in is still fine, but this may kill Candyland. It's still probably a comp you can top four with, especially since it won't be as contested, but probably won't see many firsts.
- Ziggs now has 40 mana instead of 45. If you didn't read why this is a bad idea, here you go. By the way, the article was pre-nerf. His ult now deals 300, 400 and 700, so even better Kog'Maw.
- Chalice of Harmony now gives 20 percent less mana. I have no idea how this will impact Mana Printer, but you'll probably have a chance to kill Vel'Koz before you wipe.
Major
Superdense Galaxy gives you a FoN at stage 3-4, the stage right after carousel, instead of immediately after level five.Correction: "Superdense Galaxy: Now grants a free Force of Nature after the stage 3 carousel." Despite correctly interpreting this, you actually get a FoN at 3-1. This is the second time I catch a major mistake in the patch notes.- Full-item carousels are much less frequent, especially during early rounds. It would be neat to completely remove it from first carousel because RNG, but we take those.
- Items drop more frequently in early PvE rounds. Hopefully this means more four-item starts.
- The Mech now gets 80 AD plus 45 percent of the Pilots' attack damage instead of 100 percent of Pilots' AD. After level seven, it should be about a 25 to 30 percent nerf to AD. I have no idea if this kills Mech Infil. I'm a broken man, and have been wrong three times already about this. As such, I have no public-facing opinions over Mech Infil.
- Four Space Pirates has a 25 percent higher chance of getting items. I think Pirate Blaster might be playable, especially if you're allowed to fast eight.
- Twisted Fate's ultimate does 19.2 percent less damage at level three. People can still run Caitlyn, Ashe instead of TF, Zoe. Also, this champion was pretty much better Ahri. Good nerf.
- Xayah has 9.1 percent less AD. Shredder will still shred.
- Karma's ultimate gives 42.6, 50 and 25 percent more attack speed at levels one, two and three. Dark Stars are actually still a top composition, and since Mana Printer and Candyland are getting hit, they might see a big resurgence.
Minor
- Infiltrators will always jump, regardless of if they have a target or not. This mostly affects Kai'Sa being able to position differently, but also allows you to build RFC on any Infil and still have them jump. However, you can no longer put Infil Spat on Jhin or Xerath.
- Yasuo has 16.7 more health and requires 10 percent less mana to ult. Rebels seem good.
- Vel'Koz's ultimate deals 5.9 and 9.1 percent more damage. Neat.
- Deathblade starts with one stack. Deathblade Jinx shouldn't feel so bad now.
- Morello and Red Buff deal 7.4 percent less damage. This shouldn't really change much, other than maybe Lucian early-game. I played a few Mech Infil games yesterday, so maybe this hurts Kai'Sa significantly early as well, but probably not.
Insignificant
- Syndra deals 25 percent more ultimate damage at all levels. I think Egirls is thoroughly dead, but I could be wrong.
- Kayle does 20 percent less ultimate damage at level three. You have my permission to uninstall if you don't get first with a level-three Kayle.
- WuKong's ultimate prioritizes hitting the closest champion he hasn't hit. Neat.
Compositions
You either get a bunch of Xayas, or play with either Jinx, Kayle or Irelia.
Blaster Brawler
Last Whisper and some other items on Jinx. It's a really easy comp.
Either fast seven or fast eight and win.
Rebels
Alternatively, fast eight and get a bunch of five costs. This is basically the other Jinx comp.
Note Red Buff isn't important in the comp, nor is Morello, and having three damage items on Jinx is fine. Also, reminder to put Luden's on Ziggs and transfer it to A Sol.
Chrono Valk
With the nerf to Kayle, I don't think this is viable. And by that I mean, this comp is still insane and you should play this comp as frequently as possible. I have way more success with this than Jinx comps at the moment.
Use Kai'Sa as an item holder for MF by the way.
Dark Star
I'm going to make a bold prediction and say Dark Star is going to be the fourth-best comp. It's difficult to pull off, but if you have the items, it's probably a first now.
Don't go forcing this comp, but it's probably going to be uncontested, so it might be lit.
Shredder
From one anonymous person's opinion who I'm growing to distrust, this is basically better Candyland. You can also play Poppy, Leona instead of Rakan, J4.
I still haven't played any games of it because it's always contested.
Cybernetics
I've had a really bad time with this composition. I should dedicate some time to learn it.
However, what I do know is you should put a Red Buff on Lucian early, streak, stack Irelia, and now, you can position Ekko all the way in the front with a Solari. The comp seems really good to me.
Mech Infil
I have no public-facing opinions about this composition.
Mana Printer
I have no idea what I'm doing :).
Pirate Blasters
I completely made this comp up. Probably put Wu in at nine.
