Fornari’s Patch 10.5 Notes Notes

TL:DR

  • Zyra's back.
  • Diana is good in the early game.
  • Janna slaps even harder.
  • Late-game Leona is weaker.
  • Level three Zed and Lux instantly win. Please Tweet me.

Game Changing

  • Zyra requires 13.3 percent less mana to ult. Also, Zyra will spawn an additional plant at three stars, meaning she'll do 20 percent more damage. Oh nonono. This champion was too good before the nerfs, and now that Inferno is dominating, we have Zyra to contend with. That's gonna be an OMEGA YIKES from me. Also, hyper rolling is possible again, and Morello is viable on her. Wait, also her early game is nuts again. This is pretty Pog!
  • Karma shield now gives 12.5 and 16.7 percent less attack speed at levels one and two. Less attack speed on Azir and Ashe is fine with me mates.
  • Janna's ultimate heals for 25 and 16.7 percent more health. This is the second huge buff they gave to Janna. I don't know what stats they're looking at, but I'm forcing Summ Sins every time I see a Cloud map.
  • Getting Zed or Lux to level three is an automatic victory. If anyone manages to accomplish this, @Kevin_Fornari is all I'm saying.

Major

  • Blademasters have a 14.3 percent higher chance to proc.
  • Diana's shield lasts 33.3 percent longer. Also, she gains one more orb at level three, meaning she'll deal 20 percent more damage. The shield duration is really nice as she's pretty unusable because she doesn't do enough damage unless you stack her, and doesn't tank enough. Now, she's much more viable in the early game, can be hyper rolled, and is more playable in niche comps like six assassins.
  • Leona's shield lasts 20 percent less time. This won't do too much, but we should see less Leona in the late game.
  • Syndra deals 28.6, 7.1 and 8.3 percent more damage at levels one, two and three. Throw a Luden's on her and play some Ocean Mage lads.
  • Nocturne's ultimate heals for 25 and 33.3 percent more health. B-B-B-B-B-B-Blender Comp!
  • Twitch has 7.7 percent more attack damage. Unsure why we're buffing Rangers, but ok.

Minor

  • Ezreal's ultimate does 11.1 percent more damage at level one. We take those I guess.
  • Rek'Sai does 17.6 percent more ultimate damage at level three. We take those as well.

Insignificant

  • Four Electrics deal 10 percent more damage. Neat.
  • Six Glacials deal 7.1 percent more damage. Also neat.

Compositions

Other than Shadow Yi still being oppressive and six Shadows and Lunar being everywhere, it's actually a decently diverse meta.

Shadow Yi

Like I said, this comp is still insane despite the nerfs. I still have no idea how to position though.

Electric

I have no idea where the hell this comp came from. Just stack Zed 4Head.

Obviously put Electric Lux in instead of Volibear if you can find her.

Rangers

Rangers are still good as well. Also, Twitch buffs.

Inferno Kindred

Most likely, six Shadow Kindred is better. However, with the buff to Zyra, this could be a really juicy comp, especially if you get the opportunity to hyper roll either Zyra, Varus or even Diana.

You'd replace either Amumu or Varus for a level three Diana by the way.

Yes, I put eight items instead of seven, but I didn't want to write that Thief's Gloves were good on either Annie or Sion.

Summ Sins

It's still here baby!

If you're on a Cloud map, you'd swap Taric, Malphite for Janna, Karma. That also gives you the option to stack dodge on Yorick or Zed.

Zerkers

This comp is being held down by the current meta. If either Shadows or Rangers weren't a thing, this would be top-two. With that said, it's still really strong and should net you a top four pretty much every time you have the items and champs for it.

However, you need GA on Olaf. Other than that, it's pretty loose on what you can do. Just don't go forcing this comp every game.

Ocean Mage

I know I made some bold claims last patch, but they actually have a solid win rate and Syndra got buffed. Try 'em out and see what happens!

Preds

By all known laws of aviation, Preds should not be viable. I have no idea how Poison got nerfed, AP isn't popular and still Preds are a viable pick.

Also, the third time I say this disclaimer, Stacking Luden's is optimal, but I put an alternative build in case you don't get three Rods and Tears. Stacking Shivs is fine as well.
